Vino C® - OPC is a dietary supplement made from grape seed concentrate and acerola powder, offered in capsules. It offers a synergistic complementary combination of the nutrients of grape seed and acerola cherry. Thus, Vino C® - OPC provides high-quality natural vitamin C from the acerola cherry on the one hand, and OPC - oligomeric proanthocyanidins - which are among the polyphenols from the seeds of grapes, on the other.
The grape seed has a number of secondary plant substances, of particular interest is its content of the compound OPC. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins, also known as oligomeric procyanidins (OPC for short), are substances that occur naturally in plants and belong to the group of flavanols (a subclass of flavonoids). These, in turn, are counted among the secondary plant substances used by plants, among other things, as defensive substances against harmful external, environmental stresses.
The acerola cherry originates from South America and is characterized by a high vitamin C content. In combination with the other bioactive ingredients of the cherry, this results in a composition that offers cell-protective effects due to its antioxidant capacity. Our high-quality acerola powder has a natural vitamin C content of at least 17%.
